ORLANDO

With two children, our trip to Florida would not have been complete without a trip to Orlando and Walt Disney World.

We spent a lot of time finding somewhere to stay and ended up booking a condo at the Bahama Bay Resort. We found its accommodation, facilities and location was ideal for a family and would recommend it to anybody. Click here to read more about the Bahama Bay Resort.

We were in Orlando for 11 days in total and did a huge amount while we were there – it was exhausting at times but all of us loved just about every element of Walt Disney World (WDW) plus Seaworld (which is not part of Disney). Here’s a list of the parks we went to while there:

• Magic Kingdom at WDW
• Epcot at WDW
• Animal Kingdom at WDW
• MGM Studios at WDW
• Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon
• Character Dining

We bought our Disney tickets in advance through a UK ticket agency - can't remember which one now. We opted for the 7 day 'Magic Your Way' Premium ticket. This allowed us entry to the 4 main WDW parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom) on 7 different occasions and also 5 entries to smaller Disney parks of which we only went to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

The only park we went to outside of the Disney parks was Seaworld - we paid for this on the gate, which was a mistake as we are sure you can get tickets cheaper from agents in advance, or there are many 'Tourist Centres' around Orlando advertising discounts for tickets for Seaworld and the other parks. Oh well!
